I always wondered why the film,'The Master' had such an impactful visual resonance. Today I learned that it was shot on 70mm. That makes sense. And it also teaches that the power behind a well composed wide C.U. is without definition. It just leaves us with an amazing and unforgettable feeling. Bye.
Oh yeah moment :
Oh yeah, whether one like'd Haynes,'Carol' film or not - it was shot on 16mm film. And that took as much balls as Master did shooting a few multiplication tables greater. Always nice to be reminded that television hates math.
