Alda.

It was great to see Alan Alda cast and acting in, 'Bridge of Spies.'  This writer loves Alan Alda. The Coen brothers wrote this script and I imagine that they had him in mind- imagination and hope are one in the same here.  Bye

p.s.  I can't help but think that William Kunstler (God bless his dead soul) would have loved this film- at least for what it stands for regarding the choices that we make when faced with ethical breach seductions. 'Standing Man,' that is what William was...and that is what his legacy is. His work stands tall, and in a league of its own. Having seen all of the potential Oscar nominees up for awards next year, and the announced Golden Globe film nominees, this film is the strongest, thus far. Yes, it is colored by a canvass of an expired? Cold War narrative and a typical Hanks formulaic 'nice guy' thing that he does so well, but the film forces us to regress back into remembering why the Constitution of the United States was drafted to begin with. The film is important and has been made in a filmic language that is accessible to the general public. With the upcoming dirty election and a newfound hysteria being customized for the new outsider migrant crossing all borders, this movie is a bridge that we should be encouraged to walk over and check out. And if you go with somebody and end up getting into an argument about the movie after the fact, keep in mind that 'the power of negotiation' will be your most effective key.
