UN Peace Process and Human Compassion: Pending

Watchin' the political documentary, 'The Peacekeepers' and attempting to understand the value (if any) the United Nations has today regarding International peacekeeping and general crisis oversight. Things look terrible as far as 'peace process' is concerned. Should we (you and Jane) be surprised?... nope...we executed Aileen Wuornos didn't we. She was broken down mentally and physically by bureaucracy to the point of requesting an expedited death sentence of her life with no desire for legal representation. ..

The painful memory of Rwanda, Aileen, the crisis in Iraq, global terrorism, the death penalty for women, the death penalty for the mentally ill and American hegemony in world affairs are what these films are all about. Contemporary documentary cinema, when done well, can be scarier than any 70's horror film. The Peacekeepers covers the loss of credibility of the United Nations and how peacekeeping clearly remains under direct threat, humanitarian catastrophe and plain bureaucratic incompetence. Jane has chosen not to shiver anymore tonight. Jane has chosen a societal indifference. As (it's) a survival tactic. Special thanks to Nick Broomfield for his compassionate film series mission representing Aileen's sad life story. bye.

"In the US the overwhelming majority of those executed are psychotic, alcoholic, drug addicted or mentally unstable. They frequently are raised in an impoverished and abusive environment. Seldom are people with money or prestige convicted of capital offenses, even more seldom are they executed."

That dark miserable Sam again.

The documentary 'Shepard and Dark ' is a great one. This film is a real challenge to see because Sam is a great actor. Even when portraying himself , he's great - acting. Unfortunately in real life he's a complete ass#}%€.  I'll let Sam know I thoroughly enjoyed his movie (without shaking his hand ever again). That said, see this film. Johnny Dark is clearly a great guy and stands as a pure reminder of how he could stay friends with Sam for so long. Patience is a virtue. I didn't have that kind of patience when I knew him. Thank God. Bye (Sam).
P.S. Again, all players aside, the film is a special one. Highly recommend. Just don't ever let Shepard into your personal space (home) like I did.  Bye again.

P.S.S. Love me some Bogan on Vinyl as background house noise. Bye one more time.

Blood on a wolf hand without a reindeer in sight (i.e.oversight).

Jane at a private cast screening for, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET (a moment seen above). All glossy film direction and caricature performances were & remain spectacular and this lovable blogger is still recovering from seeing this film, since last week ...and Pepto Bismol never hurts anybody. Right? The "movie" (since it is both a "film" and an entertaining Holiday? popcorn "movie") is really about "addiction." Money attracted these self-destructive addicts to a profession and a point of being able to reach a sophisticated level of group functioning incompetence (a new kind of Peter Priniciple. Someone call the DSM manual editors for a much needed updated edition. And I want to see royalties $$$, money hungry bastard that I am). The characters in this film-movie never really want to hurt people (since they are unable to see others as people, but only as a means of achieving a goal: getting a "fix" by any means necessary and despite being told repeatedly that their behavior is destroying everything around them. This is what an addict does. This is also what makes them attractive, that kind of confidence. And this is why it is so hard to stop loving an addict when you are able to understand that they have a sickness. Bring a bottle of mineral water with you to the theatre before sitting through this three hour opus (not opiate). Flush all of your potential toxins out of your system before viewing this film-movie and please make a fine mess of yourself with a popcorn orgy session (orgy meaning go see this movie with a pack of degenerates if possible. Just go to the theatre's parking lot and ask around). Do it for Jane, not the movie. Be a good sport. Belch silently and hear Jane's whisper "this is about addiction and NOT finance. And it should have been about American lawyer culture replacing blow for golf. But that film will be coming out shortly. lol. On a smaller budget. Wit deeper grit."

Did someone just think "BROMLEY?" Smart thinking. Hush, hush.

bye.

p.s. Life imitates art- So have you heard the latest? Now this IS about "finance"...and a about true money hungry wolf pack...link here...

Films rubbish and the artificiality of stainless steel docu-fessionals

who knew? Documentaries can be pure rubbish? duh.
moi knew.
"Good golly Ms. Molly! shut your mouth! (i.e. trap)  No other gizmos, you say Molly ?!"
"ok, Jane. I'll zip it," stated Molly smelling like some dirty apology letter. Like a good con. "I'm sorry bye."
"ok. bye to you too. Just don't ruin my party - Assh&^#!", slammed Jane...perhaps.

Then someone started thinking how really good they'd gotten at making that kind of crap. Accolades included. And at a low & moderate production cost.
p.s. I like your glove in front of Herzog's face, Jane.
gee. thanx. it was nice. and (made) relatively cheap.
Did you know that the Hulk does not wear gloves when whipping Superman's ass?
No. Honestly. I did not. I am slightly upset that you don't seem to like my new die cast metal "smarty phone" case. Thanks for the heads up about the Hulk fight. Sad, so easy for ppl to simply get along- every clinical social workers pipe dream. But, since they are space aliens and Gamma ray monsters, I think Superman whipped Hulk's ass gloveless. He shoulda borrowed Jane's glove...the  Dummy.

“I really like your blogs because they are so Non-Referential,  Jane.”

One steaming cold siberian agreement

"And this is regarding Amnesty?," thought Jane drinking the hot black morning coffee..."I feel cold right now." Pussy Riot members Nadya, 24, and Maria, 25, will be freed from prison three months before their scheduled release? wow. This coffee creamer must be bad because I feel sick too. Why not just let this ridiculous sentence run its course based on punk PRINCIPLE alone. Principle being: Screw em. The two women and fellow band member Yekaterina were arrested for performing Mother of God Drive Putin Away from Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral on Feb. 21, 2012.

Their crime?: "hooliganism motivated by religious (i.e. government oppression) hatred or hostility." Hip, Hop, Hurray.
While Samutsevich successfully appealed her sentence, the other two artists remained, despite global cries for their release. "burp." Earlier this week, a new Russian amnesty law was passed (hmmmm, and Putin signs this weeks before his Winter Games at Sochi. lol. No, Jane does not see any coincidence there you dummy). According to The Associated Press, prisoners "who haven't committed violent crimes, first-time offenders, minors and women with small children" are granted amnesty from their imprisonment.

During their time, Alekhina went on a hunger strike and Tolokonnikova wrote an open letter, protesting the treatment of prisoners. Just days after that letter was posted, she disappeared for 21 days during a prison transfer, showing up in a Siberian prison hospital.

Again, let the sentence run its course, and then start saving Russian rubles for the next pack of colored stink bombs. Timing is everything. And that's one thing Putin does and knows well. And so does Jane. bye.

Selling your umbrella to the devil .

When a person (not Jane actually) asked P.L. Travers what she thought of the movie Disney made out her book Mary Poppins, she replied, “As I walked out of the theater, I was crying.” While she felt Julie Andrews could have made a great version of her nanny if the Disney folks had allowed it, Travers was heartbroken that Walt had taken her novel and turned it into a cloying musical and saccharin fare.

"Saving Mr. Banks" presents the story of the making of that Disney classic, with Tom Hanks playing Walt and Emma Thompson playing Travers. And in the penultimate scene of this new film, Travers breaks into tears at the premiere of Disney’s Mary Poppins. But here is the difference: We are to understand that she is weeping because she is deeply happy with what the filmmakers have done with her story and because she has finally worked through psychological issues surrounding her late father.

This is how history is rewritten.

It’s not like the real cause for Travers’ tears wasn’t widely known. It's not like Jane Public was not educated in film school that Walt Disney was a true degenerate hate filled racist and a Nazi party financial supporter. Indeed, in a Disney publication connected to the Broadway version of Mary Poppins, a comment by Travers is reprinted: “Tears ran down my cheek because it was all so distorted. . . . I was so shocked that I felt I would never write–let alone smile–again!" "That kinda says it all," thought Jane.

And then Jane's  ink pen (i.e. computer printer) ran outta ink for the day. Thank God. bye.

p.s.  The book Mary Poppins is profound--though let me tell you from experience, it’s hard to persuade people to sample it because of the Disney movie, even though the two are as different as Jesus Christ Superstar and its source. I may bye (meaning buy) this one more time, due to Jane's unusual holiday cheer this year. George aka W has declared himself a retired politico and newfound "artist." His holiday cheer has been maintained by creating  jpg's of his paintings and mass Spam sending these as Holiday electronic gift cards to his prior enemies (aka the whole World). He claims to be more worried about how critics are going to react to the new Mary Poppins movie than the NSA hacking into his ipad. "Cowboys don't need umbrellas when it rains in Washington D.C.," W. just mumbled (Jane presumed).  "C'mon Laura. Let's go check out that new Tom Hanks movie on my ipad touch. I got the darn thing downloaded for free. But don't tell that swarthy Putin pirate a damn thing bout' it. To hell wit' dem Olympics. I'm streaming the sucker."

"You're such  a dumb redneck George," slighted Hillary. "Now I know for sure we're gonna hang together tight when I run my campaign against that fat slob from New Jersey. Hell George, keep on painting. I may have a job for you again redesigning the White House master bedroom when I win."

THEY ALL CHUCKLED ON AIR FORCE ONE.  BILL DIDN'T.  HE TEXTED SOMEBODY INSTEAD.

"My camera is framing the gap between rhetoric and reality"

Thursday, December 19, 2013

'Almost Orwellian.' Yes. I (Jane) agree.

So these monsters claim to have 46 suggestions huh. I have 1 good suggestion that comes Free Of Charge and won't have you scambling to any Chinese airports flushing your passport down 'public' government issued toilet bowls... 'Get a life you hyper paranoid hypocrites. Go monitor your own wacky family home life and work office behavior and get off our phone lines. Sickos. ..'
The bottom line is that there needs to be an 'audit process' that becomes implemented. And those who violate our rights for self-serving causes and lies must be held accountable. And ultimately must pay a high price. Both by a legal standard, and a 'moral' one. "Your souls will be dealt with by a Greater spiritual regulation. The Wrath of God ain't no joke buddy." Tread immoral and amoral water gently... especially when you don't know how to swim in water this deep. And things are clearly getting deeper, and deeper, and deeper- for everyone involved. Even if you do choose to kill your cellphone now (i.e. today). 'It's too late sweetheart. We're (I'm) coming after you anyway. bye,' said jane.

rehearsals-discussions-debriefings .. .

We grow accustomed to the dark
When light is put away...

As when the neighbor holds the lamp
To witness her goodbye.

with ALBERT MAYSLES (director of GREY GARDENS).

Happy Human Rights Day !

Today is Human Rights Day, and Jane Public Inc. wants to recognize all those who have helped us to achieve. We reflect on the legacy of Nelson Mandela and his profound importance to the global human rights movement, a movement to which you are central. Your support for general Human Rights and vigilance against national corruption continues the fight for justice and shows your commitment to the defense of human rights around the world.

As the Empire State Building glows blue tonight to honor Human Rights Day, we wanted to take a moment to share a few stories of the incredible work accomplished in 2013 -

Canada’s parliament created a special committee to investigate police corruption and an documented abusive police force, and also violence against indigenous women. These people had nowhere to turn. We followed their stories.

After years of negotiations, a landmark international treaty controlling mercury use was formally adopted in October of this year. This treaty will protect 10 to 15 million gold miners worldwide, many of them children, who are exposed to this dangerous chemical every day. Human Rights pioneers researched, sought and documented the effects of mercury on children in Mali and Papua New Guinea and made recommendations that were included in the treaty.

Fight the corrupt. Happy Human Rights Day.

Sincerely,
Jane Public, et al.

p.s. Thank You Christiane Amanpour.
