'Bananas are cheap,' chimed Hal.

I really did not care much for Kubrick's infamous, and ambitious, SciFi cult classic film, '2001 a Space Odyssey.' But I must say that the isolated film soundtrack is just phenomenal. Vocal choruses sandwhiched over droning echoey landscapes that are simply creepy as all hell. The best thing about that film were those ridiculous opening scene apes prancing with Dino bones, and this works mostly because Kubrick made no effort whatsoever to hide the fact that they (the apes) were just really folks wearing really bad gorilla outfits. Lol. Evidence that the right visuals married to the right sound can perform miracle magic (in this case a cinema classic). The 2001 film score rules. period. and that's the point of this blog gesture - keep hope alive and support your local ape outfit shop.
Bye.
