Hutton and ABC.

Just getting into this American Crime ABC show since it's now on NETFLIX. Despite my resistance in supporting episodic television's deliberate hijacking of independent cinema aesthetics (and then stretching stories/scripts out as much as possible in order to milk their cash cow as far as humanly possible), this show is alright. The show is mostly a user-friendly televised reboot of the painfully overrated Oscar movie, 'Crash' (2004) minus Matt Dillon, sadly. That said - Felicity Huffman is at her best in this. She's masterful! You love, and hate, her character the whole time.  But most of all, it's so great to see Hutton continue to work so hard and be surrounded by other actors with kindred passion. Hutton continues to honor his deceased father through his work, and I'm not sure I can name one single thing Tim has done that has been crap, including the time he directed the 'DRIVE' video for The Cars...The Cars were a great band. And now, this show is great by hiring legendary film composer Mark Isham to compose the soundtrack for this show- that hiring says a lot about the direction and risks that ABC is trying to push television things into. Good times right now for television's adoption of film art. Or good times for whatever gadget thing you are planning on watching these shows on. Screw it, use a Kindle, a smart phone, a tablet. Whatever works and has a battery power like some of this show's performances. bye. ..
