Getting ready for my shark cage diving expedition. Preparing all of my new underwater camera casing gear to shoot these gigantic deep sea predators up close and personal with a portable 4k 1080 DIY photography set-up. Throw me in the steel cage -  way ready and psyched.

                                           bye.

Oh, Andy

I carefully listened to the unscripted moments (her tone), and observed the uncharismatic cadence of Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul this afternoon as she introduced herself to the world as our next soon-to-be NY Governor. After witnessing her management of the Free Press as they slammed questions at her, I think that she's going to be the perfect band-aid option during this governmental transition for New York State. Bye bye Andy, good riddance.

'Bergman Island' and Gotland's - Fårö, Sweden

I'm really looking foward to seeing this film by Mia Hansen-Love, as visiting Ingmar's island was one of the best trips in my life. Fårö i.e. Bergman's island, Sweden truly is a majestic place for any artist to experience. Being there is like walking on top of a multi-dimensional watercolor painting. The way one gets around the island after the ferry is by using military bicycles...and the sun rises at 3am! The Baltic Sea is a wild special place. Also, I went biking with actress Mia Wasikowska and she is one of the kindest, earnest, adorable and most talented souls currently in the movie industry.

                                         bye.

CNN...you just can't make this sh&* up.

I must say that I really wish that Brooke Baldwin didn't quit her job at CNN. She was so authentic, genuine and grounded in her ethics (which is why I imagine she felt compelled to leave the partisan corrupted network). She's really great and seems to be a very kind and good person. That said, Clay Travis is halarious (sic) and knew exactly what he was doing - providing unvarnished comedic live television. bye.

History 101: If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It

Humans seem to have the urge to improve things. Prehistoric hand-axes were made by repeatedly chipping small flakes off pebbles of flint with other hard objects. Million-year-old examples of these have been found that give the impression of being ruined by being chipped just one time too many. That pang of regret we have probably all felt after spoiling something by adding that unnecessary final touch was first faced by Ugg in his cave. The thought may be Stone Age but the phrase 'if it ain't broke don't fix it', which sounds as though it might come from the Prez(sic) Roosevelt or Prez(sic) Truman era, is more recent than that. This one is widely attributed to T. Bert (i.e. Thomas Bertram) Lance, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget in Jimmy Carter's 1977 administration. He was quoted in the newsletter of the US Chamber of Commerce, Nation's Business, May 1977 : Bert Lance believes he can save Uncle Sam billions if he can get the government to adopt a simple motto: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." He explains: "That's the trouble with government: Fixing things that aren't broken and not fixing things that are broken." bye.
