The Kennedy hustle - and bustle.

I met RFK Jr. three years ago randomly one Sunday afternoon as I was pushing my mother on a wheelchair on Houston Street before she died of cancer. I was having trouble lifting my mother's chair over a curb, and Bobby jumped off of his CitiBike (he was exercising on) to help me. What he did was a knee-jerk reaction, and proved to me what a good soul that he was. He is also a falconer! He now follows my work and he asked me to help out with camera direction on this interview recent video shoot, and I did. I'm not sure how things will pan out for Bobby as his campaign moves forward due to the Kennedy curse and namesake, etc. but I can tell you one thing for certain, that RFK Jr. is a good man & human being...

Oppenheimer IMAX film.

Just leaving the viewing of the new Nolan film, Oppenheimer. My overall review:  The acting was all next level and worthy of multiple Oscar trophies (evidence of a good director so Nolan deserves a trophy nod as well). Emily Blunt, Downey Jr, Pugh, and even the brief performance of Gary Oldman as president. Wow. The sound design was spectacular and with the visual surreal cutaways always reminding the viewer of the power of any bomb - the movie is truly a contemporary horror film without any jump scares… the horrors of all international governments, solicited science projects, fog of war, and amorality all weighed against our greatest weapon of all - 

the human EGO. 

This entire film was shot using IMAX cameras and 70mm film!

Criterion Catalogue

 

Currently on a Bergman kick, and watching his entire film catalogue daily (released in a box set by Criterion). To date, Ingmar is the truest film artist that ever walked the earth. Just finished The Passion Of Anna and need to take a break for a few hours before submerging myself back into the depths of his Baltic Sea again.  #faroisland
