My Way

My Way
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
You cunt, I'm not a queer
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
There were times, I'm sure you knew
When there was fuck, fuck, fuck all else to do
But through it all, when there was doubt
I shut it up or kicked it out
I passed them all, I kicked their balls
I did it my way
I've laughed and been a snide
I've had my fill, uh, my share of losing
And now, the tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think, I killed a cat
And when I'm done, not in the die way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a prat? What has he got?
When he wears hats and he cannot
Say the words he truly feels
But only the words of one who kneels
I passed them all, I kicked their balls
And did it my way.

Anna Magnani

🍀

It's St. Patty's day and the perfect day for the film- THE DEPARTED! The opening title song track over all the Bostonian Irish, such a powerful film no matter how husky the corporate film budget was. Baldwin was so hilarious too, just being his natural bat-crazy self. THE DEPARTED it shall be tonight.

*The Departed refers to death and the dead. The movie has plenty of both. When Costigan is at his mother's grave, he sees a wreath from Costello with a note reading, "Heaven holds the Faithful Departed". The phrase "faithful departed" appears to be used by Christians to refer to deceased members of their congregation.

Sad news for cinephiles.

The Alamo Drafthouse Theatre chain has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

Sad:(

The world is now forced to create their own pandemic DIY personal cinema houses...

RIP  Yaphet Kotto.

#freezingnyc❄️☃️

Trivia Point: One of the first songs I wrote with Mark Morton (Lamb Of God) was called 'Deep Freeze'.
I still have my original lyrics to that song scribbled in one of many of my lyrical notebooks sitting in a chest, housed with all of the rehearsal tapes that captured the song writing process in its entirety.

Lars was right about Napster.  Look what  happened to the music business. All that’s left for musicians to survive now are merch and high-priced ticket sales. And now witr (sic) the neverending lockdown, nothin’. Sad But True (the pun intended). Bye.
