Twenty twenty twenty four hours to go
I wanna be sedated
Nothing to do, no where to go o,
I wanna be sedated
Just get me to the airport, put me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry, before I go insane
I can't control my fingers, I can't control my brain
Oh no oh oh oh oh
Twenty twenty twenty four hours to go
I wanna be sedated
Nothing to do, no where to go o,
I wanna be sedated
Just put me in a wheelchair, get me on a plane
Hurry hurry hurry, before I go insane
I can't control my fingers, I can't control my brain
Oh no oh oh oh oh
Twenty twenty twenty four hours to go
I wanna be sedated
Nothing to do, no where to go o,
I wanna be sedated
Just put me in a wheelchair, get me to the show
Hurry hurry hurry, before I go loco
I can't control my fingers, I can't control my

Fingers are crossed for actress Teri Garr

         [Verse 1]
It's not what you thought
When you first began it
You got what you want
Now you can hardly stand it, though
By now you know

[Refrain]
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up

[Verse 2]
You're sure there's a cure
And you have finally found it
You think one drink
Will shrink you till you're underground
And living down

[Refrain]
But it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
[Bridge]
Prepare a list for what you need
Before you sign away the deed

[Refrain]
'Cause it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
Till you wise up

[Outro]
No, it's not going to stop
Till you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
So just give up

Hallmark cards signed Spanish artist Salvador DalĂ on in 1959. The painter of The Persistence of Memory and Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus) asked the greeting-card giant for "$15,000 in cash in advance for 10 greeting card designs, with no suggestions from Hallmark for the subject or medium, no deadline and no royalties."

 “Funerals were her tv.”

  about Emily Dickinson

‘ genre ’ is a french word. So interesting how we’ve adopted it for our cinematic language. The only thing is, most of us are pronouncing it wrong. bye.

“The soul selects her own society”

   https://youtu.be/kFeYPCv5F48

I heard a Fly buzz - when I died

 EMILY DICKINSON, 1830-1886
I heard a Fly buzz - when I died -
The Stillness in the Room
Was like the Stillness in the Air -
Between the Heaves of Storm -

The Eyes around - had wrung them dry -
And Breaths were gathering firm
For that last Onset - when the King
Be witnessed - in the Room -

I willed my Keepsakes - Signed away
What portion of me be
Assignable - and then it was
There interposed a Fly -

With Blue - uncertain - stumbling Buzz -
Between the light - and me -
And then the Windows failed - and then
I could not see to see -

LADY IN THE LAKE was the first film to ever incorporate POV (Point Of View) for an entire feature length film, including the breaking of the 4th wall.

The new Trinity stabilization camera rig.

The new Sam Mendes film 1917 uses this rig. It's essentially a crane and Steadicam all in 1!

  p.s.
The new indie film, THE LIGHTHOUSE is just visually and tonally insane. The director shot on negative XX B&W film stock while also using camera lenses from the 30's, a Nagra for sound and boy does this film make an experiential impact. I have NEVER seen a film that looks and feels so much like a Bergman film shot on Faro in my entire life, yet unlike PERSONA that takes two individuals and merges them skillfully into one, this film takes two individuals and slowly destroys their merged gaunt bodies and minds inside of a kettle of steaming fisherman vodka with mussels. This movie, and it's gorgeous mermaid, are nuts and proves the relevance of cinema as visual literature. Point blank. A must see, if anything for the flatulence experience in and of itself. bye...

4 films to see, even if the Academy shuns them due justice.

Stream Wars

So the new Disneyplus app has delivered a massive financial blow to Netfix, as defecting subscribers have cancelled their memberships primarily based on the ‘Mandalorian’ Star Wars series with its meme star baby Yoda. Will be interesting to see how Netflix handles their new streaming competitor.  bye.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

Excellent production, despite the writers insertions of a slew of pandering ugly partisan anti-Trump political jabs. I never made it through the crazy cult classic Tim Burton movie (I found it to be a bit too silly & over the top), but this staged production of that movie really nailed, in my opinion, a much more controlled delivery of the movie plot's true essence which was about the premature death of a loved one, and the process of mourning and loss that goes along with that. The show had a really great mix of tangible special FX and a musical spin that just won the audience over- me included (and I hate musicals). Was cool to see a few die-hard goth kids there and also an entire new generation of emo kids that embrace the insanity of the deathly and sardonic, Mr. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice...

Give me a tomato to throw.

This democratic debate tonight is so pathetic, fact less and soulless that I literally turned it off- something I’d never in a million years dream of doing. I’ve zero interest in anything being said, and to do something like this the day after a 100% partisan presidential impeachment is ridiculously tasteless. Enough of the complaining already folks - it’s all just evolved now to partisan scripted blather blather blather at this point. I’d rather try to figure out how to bake a fried tomato. Is that even possible? Answer: Nope. Bye.

A history of 3-D, Parasite 3-D and Embassy Pictures

So fascinating how two images of the same composition were captured onto single frames shot in-camera in order to then use a newly invented special movie projector lens that  integrated both images into one overlapped/sandwiched image that created the awesome 3-D effect.
PARASITE was the first film to do this in the U.S., and then hundreds of movie houses purchased the special projector lens and 3-D movies started being made (JAWS 3-D, Friday the 13th 3-D, Amityville 3-D)  in 3-D knowing that many theaters had purchased the lens and were able to project such fun movie experiences (and more importantly make tons and tons of money). Terribly, the person who invented the special 3-D lens sued all of the movie houses for violating his patent and the lens was banned to be used by a court ruling and 3-D films died until Avatar emerged and technology had advanced to our current CGI software computer generation. Crazy.
p.s. Stan Winston who did the special fx on this movie ended up working on Alien & Jurassic Park. Wild. And 19 year old Demi Moore moved on to become a Brat Pack member and so on and so forth. To this day Demi hates that this was her first movie, yet keeps a prosthetic baby parasite used in the movie inside of her home desk. I love this crazy movie Parasite, Demi. You did good.

Coleen Fitzgibbon - "Restoring the Appearance to Order in 12 min."

So strange to remember carrying around a Nagra to capture ‘synchronized sound đźŽž’ and that the thing weighed 14 lbs. So glad technology has advanced to the point of almost feather weight recording devices for sound. We’ve come a long way. Still wonder if the technology advancements we’ve made as a society are based on the UFO crash and found spacecraft taken by the military at Roswell. Things to make you go hmmmmm...

A watershed.

The exit polls forecast is in. The green party is being blamed by some as the spoiler, just as R. Nader was blamed in the U.S. years ago. Parliament is about to gain the conservative seats necessary for Brexit to happen by Jan 31st without any #resistance. It’s remarkable that labour party politicians remain blind to what the voters are indicating they want (i.e. the people want J.Corbyn OUT!) by their vote. And, all of this is just so reminiscent of what happened in the US 2016, minus the Electoral College which was blamed for the rising of the U.S.’s populist red wall.
