The price of incompetence - Rhode Island Station

The Station memorial park took 10 years to create, and is an epic homage to the 100 concert goers who perished in the reckless tragedy. This memorial not only pays respect to the dead, but also educates the general public in the form of a 'Timeline' Wall that describes in a trajectory dated format the history of avoidable fires in public spaces, in addition to how this particular tragedy could have been easily avoided by managerial competence and a lack of GREED by the club owners- and the band- who were only contracted to be paid $5000 for a 90 minute set. With NO sprinkler system installed, the band still used dangerous pyrotechnics without permission, and the club's soundproof foam material being used to block sound from leaking into the community was a highly flammable foam which led to the fire's rapid toxic fume spread and the immediate FLASHOVER explosion that engulfed the entire inside of the place within seconds, with NO exits to escape from and nowhere to run to. A fucking nightmare.
