" She was the only person I saw who could write a song in 40 minutes. She had no filter. I remember asking her on the song ‘Back to Black’ to change a lyric because it didn’t rhyme. And the thought of changing a lyric... Well, she wasn’t indignant that I asked her, but it was like "How could I change it? That’s what I wrote. How could I change it to make it rhyme?" And my pop brain was like, ‘well, we do it all the time.’ But she said, "This is the emotion, this is what I felt, I can’t change one word." She was so honest. And I thought not everybody is so uncompromising and talented enough to do that. "
