Such a great and original film with such an odd happy-go-lucky film score by the brilliant, Lalo Schifrin. It's just really clear here that he desperately tried to do something different than his usual sound compositional work and but failed to hit a mark. In a way the soundtrack's failure (in my opinion) counterbalances the film's conspiratorial story plot underbelly perfectly...but I don't suspect Lalo meant for it to work out that way. Whether you enjoy this jolly score or not, the cover art alone makes this one worth its listen. bye.
