So what is this thing called "The 'Oklahoma Standard' ?

After the 9:02 am terror bombing at the Alfred P. Murrah federal building located in Oklahoma city,  the Oklahoma Standard became born and known throughout the world as a means of resilience in the face of adversity. It means a strength and compassion that will not be defeated. In the years since the Oklahoma City bombing, that date stands for something very different: rather than an example of separatism, they’ve made April 19 a date to remember a community coming together to help one another, living by the idea they call the “Oklahoma Standard.

Every single sculpted chair at the memorial is designed in a size that best represents the person who perished. Many of the people who died that day were not just staff workers, but also locals on line seeking federal assistance.

bye.
