We All Want Modern-Day Technology and a Golem.

go·lem
ˈɡōləm/
noun
  1. - in Jewish legend is a clay figure brought to life by magic.
    - an automaton or robot.

1927 is the name of a London-based independent performance company that specializes in combining performance and live music with animation and film. Their latest work is, GOLEM that is a commentary on modern-day technology and its effects on stimulating (and corrupting) our imagination. Golem is a creatively mind-blowing live show !  Central to1927's vision is the exploration of the relationship between live performer and projected animation film images (i.e. moving images). GOLEM is a 90 minutes dream state experience that combines spoken word, film, music, song, movement, live percussion and handmade animation drawing that successfully fuses these disparate elements in a minutely choreographed harmony. 1927 cuts its teeth on the London cabaret scene and the avant-garde radicalism of the Bauhaus (the infamous influential school of avant-garde art that was founded in 1919 and shut down by the Nazis in 1933. The Bauhaus brought together artists, architects, and designers in an extraordinary conversation about the nature of art in the age of technology. Aiming to rethink the very form of modern life, the Bauhaus became the site of a dazzling array of experiments in the visual arts that have profoundly shaped our visual world today).
