So where are the promised October Assange files?
Perhaps delivered to the SNL staffers?

Kelly's new film is now available for purchase on iTunes (prior to theatrical release).
Kelly wrote, shot, edited and directed her new work.
This is, hands down, one of the best films that I have seen in a very long time,
and this is the best film that I have seen this year.  Her film is called, 'Certain Women' and was inspired by a collection of 3 short stories. Films like this are the reason why so many of us work so hard to preserve the craftmanship and art that is personal independent cinema.
trip·tych
ˈtriptik/
noun
  1. a picture or relief carving on three panels, typically hinged together side by side and used as an altarpiece.
    • a set of three associated artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together.

p.s. Kelly shot this new film on traditional 16mm after consulting with Larry Fessenden. Big super duper cool wow.

The beautiful, brilliant, prolific and impeccable actress Isabelle Huppert(age 63) is introduced with her director Paul Verhoeven (age 78) and discusses her two new films that debut at our NYFF festival 2016. I'm not sure what bit into Paul after that 'Showgirls' flop, but this guy is now making work beyond anything he's done before. Maybe Clint Eastwood's (age 86) work ethic has motivated Paul's mojo or sumthin'. Man, this new stuff Paul's doing with toying around with mood, humor and drama is stuff that I haven't experienced in a film in years. All that nonsense about television killing dramatic cinema can be disposed of right now, Paul and Huppert just delivered a major knock out (no pun intended regarding Elle, I swear).

bye(for now).

Kubrick.

Not sure how Kubrick would feel about new untethered technology such as Pokeman Go (now known as the Donald Trump of AR) and theatrical AR (AUGMENTED REALITY) based immersive storytelling experimentation, but he'd probably be interested in hearing things out. The entire thing needs to keep getting simpler, less nerdy and more character-based in order to really find a permanent audience base, I feel. It's all very interesting stuff and something will strike a revolutionary chord soon, I'm certain.

bye.

"so, why drown? "

Very moving documentary. (I) Rate this high as heck.

'Los Punks, We Are All We Have' is really strong and a mix of important personal stories.

Forget about Amanda for a sec, and ask yourself if these filmmakers sold their souls to the devil (i.e.NETFLIX) to get a movie made...or don't ask yourself just go in person and ask them at their test screening - - -

                                                                                             bye.

Still pissed Travolta didn't get the Emmy. He should buddy up with Stallone who lost on CREED and create some kind of new disgruntled 'has beens' hashtag group. bye.

The surprising exclamation mark '!'

Jeb! Bush was halarious in the Emmy opening sequence tonight with his surprise cameo as a cabbie, using witty self-deprecating humor and a dumb Vote Jeb! bumper sticker. If only he'd done this at the debates, he was so genuinely halarious tonight. And Kimmel is kicking ass big time. And WTF - Marcia Clarke came too! Tonight's show rules and has put Oscar night to shame. What is kinda scary now is that this entire thing is proof (like the Trump phenomena) that television has taken over the visual arts inc. corporate market place and the idea of any communal cinema experience will soon be long gone. Time to watch The Shining on DVD before that film gets turned that into some silly Amazon series too (starring Matthew Broderick or Judd Nelson or sumthin' like one of them). But wait a second, watching a DVD means that I'm not sitting in some communal movie theatre...hello!  bye.

Demme

New Yorker and partner-in-crime self-proclaimed millennial hippie director Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs, Something Wild, Stop Making Sense) hanging out to talk movies. Love you Jonny. Stay cool. bye.

Fingers crossed for the Sweathog tonight !

Looking foward to the Emmys tonight! (Fingers crossed for Travolta aka Vinnie Barbarino).

Awesome film commentary by Pennebaker on the DVD anniversary release.

Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (sometimes called Bowie 1973) is a 1973 documentary and concert film by D. A. Pennebaker. It features David Bowie and his backing group The Spiders from Mars performing at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 3 July 1973. At this show, Bowie made the sudden surprise announcement that the show would be "the last show we'll ever do", later understood to mean that he was retiring his Ziggy Stardust persona. Bowie was from Bromley!

The full-length 90-minute film spent years in post-production before finally having its theatrical premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival on 31 August 1979. Prior to the premiere, the 35 mm film had been shown in 16 mm format a few times, mostly in United States college towns. A shortened 60-minute version was broadcast once in the USA on ABC-TV in October 1974. In 1983, the film was finally released to theatres worldwide, corresponding with the release of its soundtrack album entitled Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture. The following year, in 1984, the film was released to home video under the title, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars: The Motion Picture. The film was first released on DVD in 1998. A digitally remastered 30th Anniversary Edition DVD, including additional material from the live show and extras, was released in 2003. The commentary by D.A. Pennebakbr is so informative and just flat awesome.

    bye.

Mel aka Mad Max aka Mad Mel gets standing ovation.

That said, The Entity film's sound designer and composer deserves a standing ovation decades after his great work. A good soundtrack is created and designed with just as much attention to fine detail as a film is cut/edited. ..

Scud Missiles Launch- as her polls lose traction.

"... because when you're making life and death decisions, a President cannot just Pop Off."

- Michelle Obama, now placed on the Hillary trail

p.s. btw, this entire 2016 election cycle has really upset Jimmy Carter and he is now going peanuts right ! (not that his professional record is all that fancy, particularly regarding Israel).

Film struck.

Criterion inspired and curation based streaming site 'filmstruck.com' goes live In November! Ditch your cable bill and chomp on this investment. Way psyched. Bye.

Eastwood's Making Of 'Sully' Was Not Shot on VHS.

Clint shot with IMAX cameras as a way to experiment with visual compositions he had not tackled before. It sure would have been interesting to see how his film would translate to VHS video if Blockbuster Video was still around for weekend fodder...gotta miss those damn beautiful horizontal&vertical line 'drop-outs' ...
