First things first, Jane loved the video drop-outs & video tracking problems that filled the raw VHS dig footage of 'Sue' throughout this doc. Secondly, my God, trial lawyers sure are the greatest monsters of all. "Hello!" Who knew that courtroom politics could seize the teeth of a sixty-five million year old dead T Rex (who incidentally had all of its preserved sharp fangs intact). Not moi. At least not before witnessing this new documentary that could have been a 2 hour episode on Court TV. If only 'Sue' could have had 25cents and a Jurassic Park phone (with a 1-800 Jurassic phone card)somewhere out there in the South Dakota, Badlands to call 911 before the entire fossil bidding business began. But wait a second, that woulda meant that 'Sue' could talk. Hence, a further argument toward the importance of hearing voices, a good hunch and telepathy for all of those in need…

Robin Williams testified with Whoopi Goldberg (and Billy Crystal’s headshot) in support of an act that would create a system of support services for the chronically homeless – people he called “America’s refugee nation”. The act funded mental health services and housing-based support centres. Later that year, a related homelessness act passed. Tonight I accidentally discovered my old childhood baseball card collection box in an abandoned family closet. Mork from Ork stickers all over it. Will be yet another sleepless night. r.i.p. TECHIE: Too bad you got the wrong projector but to be fair the seller likely 

just assumed it was Super 8mm or thought there was no real difference. 

The physical differences are minimal.

Jane: Both films are even have the exact same width.

TECHIE: Few people these days have hands-on experience with ANY kind of film 

camera. I remember when Super 8 first came out I thought the "Super" 

simply meant it had extra features. Like great dental work, Jane.

I've seen people today on photo forums looking for help with full manual  

35mm film cameras ask questions along the lines of...

'When I pull the long plastic tape out of the metal can, how do I turn on 

the motor to pull it into the camera?' Sadly the answer is 'Uhh there is 

no motor and you ruined the tape which is actually called film'.

I remember reading articles in 60's photo magazines that said it was not a 

bright 

idea to have two incompatible film formats where the 

physical differences are not visible to the untrained eye.

Jane: So the 60's writers were correct and the problem continues today when buyers 

and sellers would have to know all this and at a minimum a buyer

needs to do independent research on a particular model number 

camera/projector.

TECHIE: It's still a fine example of a 8mm projector.From 1932 up to the late 60's when Super 8 became 

dominant. 

BLOG Note- Super 8 has the smaller 

square sprocket holes. The older 8mm has the bigger rectangular holes. interesting.

TECHIE: I'll double check my projector and make sure all is well. I'll let you borrow it since you got screwed. Especially with the bulbs. They blow out easily, terrible life span. You're gonna be fine.
