Drummer, Jan 'Hellhammer' Axel Blomberg

Last night I caught my first drumstick at a crazy Sold Out concert, tossed to me by MAYHEM drummer Jan Blomberg aka HELLHAMMER. Whether people appreciate Mayhem's intense Norwegian 'black metal' or not, Jan is undeniably one of the most innovative and serious drummers out there- and he's been drumming since the late 80's making legendary recordings. I'll post some iPHONE pics below from last night's live show, and also a great interview with Jan in which he discusses his drumming techniques and instrument approach. I'm excited to frame this drumstick and add it to my collection of things in my home aka Joey museum.
